The Retail Management major, which is housed in the Department of Marketing, prepares students to become business leaders capable of managing multi-million dollar retail businesses and allows students to develop the leadership skills needed to build and motivate successful teams. The major's tailored and rigorous curriculum was developed with input from retail managers, and prepares students for leveraging new technology and implementing best retailing practices. Retail management majors are able to diagnose customer needs and gain a thorough understanding of the domestic and global retail marketplace while learning about integral connections that control the supply chain. The major also features dedicated internships, where students gain practical, real-world experience.
