The discipline focuses both on understanding complex living systems – via experimental and analytical techniques – and on development of devices, methods and algorithms that advance medical and biological knowledge while improving the effectiveness and delivery of clinical medicine.
Biomedical Engineering Program Educational Objectives
The undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Program Educational Objectives (PEO’s) are that our alumni:
- will be engaged in professional practice as biomedical engineers and/or biomedical scientists in occupational settings involving human health and well-being,
- will advance in their professional careers, and
- will engage in professional development, or post-graduate education, to continuing their self-development in biomedical engineering or other related fields
