The BA Drama is not meant to be a performance-focused degree.?The strength of the BA Drama degree is that is allows students to take classes in many areas of the department and pursue an education that helps them define and focus their interests as they progress through the degree.
Drama students receive a concrete knowledge of the history and literature of world theatre, an understanding of contemporary thinking and performance, and a broad vocabulary in the fields of theatre and performance studies, acting, design and technology, and directing. Students learn transferable skills including critical thinking, oral and written communication, organization and time management, textual analysis, collaboration, and an understanding of the creative process.
