This includes the study of neuromuscular function, cardiovascular physiology, the hormonal and biochemical changes associated with exercise, as well as the thermoregulatory responses. Specialty areas such as body composition, pathophysiology, and sports nutrition are also addressed.
The exercise physiology program is designed to prepare you for basic and applied research activities, as well as continued study at the doctoral level. We strive to have student research presented at regional and national scientific meetings, as well as the publication of student research findings, so you’ll graduate with professional experience already on your resume.
