Our program combines classes from the health studies and education majors, preparing students to teach grades PreK through 12. Students will learn to create unit and lesson plans, projects, and other assignments at both the elementary and secondary levels.

Upon graduation, students can expect to obtain employment as health educators in government and social agencies, public and private schools, and clinical settings such as hospitals and medical facilities (some of which may require further study). Specialists in this field also serve in public health departments; in social service agencies; and in the allied areas of research, medicine, patient education, schools, and health maintenance organizations.
