- The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program at Missouri State is respected and recognized among industry professionals, casting directors, and agents. This competitive program is designed to give aspiring young professionals the skills they need to land careers in the arts. Students will receive advanced training in their emphasis area along with the opportunity to participate in a number of productions.
- The BFA Acting degree track is designed for students invested in becoming professional actors. MSU has the only program in the region that is accredited by the National Association of Schools and Theatres and that houses an Equity Membership Candidate Program (EMC).
- Students will receive preparation for the competitive acting industry in a supportive environment. MSU’s goal is to produce professional actors that are able to audition well and market themselves in the industry. Of course, MSU likes to mention their more historic success stories such as John Goodman, Kathleen Turner, and Tess Harper, but their more recent students are also taking the industry by storm. Most impressive is the consistency with which their graduates work and thrive in the professional arena. Additionally, Acting seniors performing in the L.A. Showcase consistently garner an exceptionally high rate of offers for representation.
