• Apply to a Digital Design program that offers a uniquely holistic approach grounded in both academic and practical skills, all underscored by Seattle’s commitment to sustainability and social justice. Within Seattle’s broadly informed curriculum, students will explore typography, digital imaging, digital media for print, graphic design, motion graphics, and web design—including user-experience and interface design.
  • Both in and outside the classroom, students will combine theory and practice informed by readings, discussions, and research as they hone their skills and abilities through internships, in-depth critiques, and hands-on workshops within a sophisticated and cutting-edge studio environment.
  • Every student enters this program as a candidate and takes five studio courses leading up to the mid-career review. Students who then gain entrance to the major go on as a cohort to complete the sequence of upper-level classes.
  • The cohort model embraces a diverse learning community and allows students to move through the program together with support from their peers. This program fosters academic, professional, and personal growth and gives students direct access to accomplished faculty and industry professionals from the greater Seattle design community, with Seattle’s low student-to-faculty ratio.
