The Liberal Studies major has three different options. All three options are available for students who start their undergraduate careers at CSUSM, as well as for transfer students. For all three options, coursework at California community colleges may be applied to Liberal Studies requirements.
- Border Studies Option (BRS)
- Elementary Subject Matter Preparation Option for teachers (ESM)
- Integrated Credential Program Option for teachers (ICP)
