To qualify for teacher licensure, our teacher candidates must demonstrate competencies on basic skills exams in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, as well as on pedagogy, and content exams in all licensure and endorsement areas. Results are reported to the Minnesota Board of Teaching, which in turn reports to the United States Secretary of Education under Title II of the Higher Education Act, annual reporting requirement. The most recent reporting was for students who completed the program during the 2014-2015 school year. Pass rates: 92% basic skills, 99% pedagogy, and 98% subject area content.
