You will learn creative problem-solving and gain an understanding of human behavior as it relates to advertising, sales and branding.

Many of SLU’s graduates go into advertising, market research, product management, public relations and sales.

Available through the John Cook School of Business, SLU’s marketing program includes required courses in marketing research, decision models and policy. You'll also study sports marketing, brand management, integrated marketing communications, personal selling, retail management and buyer behavior.

In addition to fulfilling SLU's requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, you'll take 18 credit hours of coursework beyond “MKT 3000: Introduction to Marketing Management” to complete your concentration in marketing. The program of study involves nine hours of required coursework and nine hours of electives.

Business majors who choose to complete the supporting area in marketing in addition to their chosen concentration must complete “MKT 3000: Introduction to Marketing Management” and 12 credit hours of additional marketing coursework.
