M.S. Program Goals
To enhance the marketability of each student in professional roles and responsibilities.
To ensure each student can understand and apply research and problem solving processes to recreation and leisure services.
To have each student understand the overall administrative process for recreation and leisure services.
To provide opportunities for scholarly and service endeavors (i.e. published paper, professional presentation, grant proposal, supervising a community event etc.).

Students that earn a degree in Recreation and Park Administration are positioned for a variety of career opportunities in Recreation Management, Special Events Programming, Natural Resource Management, Outdoor and Adventure Recreation, Tourism and Resort Management, Therapeutic Recreation, Facility Management, Church Recreation, Campus Recreation, Military Recreation, Camps, Non-Profit Organizations like the YMCA, Girl Scouts, 4-H Club and Boys and Girl's Club.
