With a bachelor’s in sustainable energy, you will address energy issues from an interdisciplinary perspective and enjoy a nontraditional curriculum. You’ll use an atomic force microscope in your history class, apply physics to real world situations and work in a hands-on environment tailored specifically to you. Through internships and group projects you’ll have direct contact with companies and industry partners across the region. And, you’ll definitely love that we use Nebraska’s largest solar array as an outdoor classroom.

Sustainable Energy Minor

The sustainable energy minor offers students an introduction to basic energy principles and design methods. Courses are project and case study based.

Outcomes

Within 6 months of graduation, 96% of Creighton’s College of Arts and Sciences graduates are employed, enrolled in graduate school or volunteering in their field.

Jobs in the energy technology sectors have been growing at 26% per year. Graduates find employment in sustainable design, renewable energy systems or energy policy and administration. This major is also a good preparation for students considering graduate school in energy-related law or public policy.
