If you major in economics, required courses will give you a broad foundation in the discipline. Then you can either:

• Choose electives in economics that suit your individual interests and career goals, or
• Select the concentration in international markets and policy, which includes courses on the global economy and its political framework, a language requirement, and an internship or study abroad experience.

When you graduate, you?ll be prepared for a career or graduate study in economics, business, law, or government. At Mills, you can earn an?master of applied economics?(MAE) or an?MBA?in just one year of study beyond your economics BA as part of a bachelor?s-to-master?s accelerated degree program. With the international concentration, you can also pursue work in the foreign service or international business.
