The History Major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.

  • The History degree program provides students with an overview as well as an in-depth study of history, examining all aspects of the human experience.  The study of history is informed by the social sciences and by developments in the arts and in literature.
  • The History major is intentionally interdisciplinary, especially with the Education major, to allow students to follow their passions while still receiving a solid foundation rooted in the Humanities.
