Exercise science is a major that provides students with a strong biological and physical science-based foundation complemented by individual specialty courses in biomechanics, physiology, motor control & development, and athletic training. The major in exercise science is primarily a pre-professional program, preparing students for graduate programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, medical and dental school, or advanced graduate training in exercise science.
The exercise science program of study is designed to cover all courses needed to apply to graduate physical therapy programs, as well as many courses needed for other health-related graduate programs.
