The Tulane University, Accounting MACCT program's core courses provide academic rigor in auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting and taxation.
The program's flexible structure gives students the option of adding a concentration in Finance, Energy or Taxation and to complete their coursework over 2 or 3 semesters. Additionally, if the student desires, the MACCT course offerings can enable a student to sit for the CPA exam.We develop analytical thinking skills in our students through experiential learning in all our courses – Socratic discussions, case studies, group projects are all part of the coursework.
Ethical issues in accounting are also woven into class discussions. Tulane MACCT program boasts a world-class faculty who are exceptional teachers and active researchers. Our faculty have hands-on industry experience (e.g. investment banking, revenue authority, private tax practice, and expert testimony for litigation) which they integrate in the classroom.
A business communications course and assignments in other courses further develop students' written and oral communication skills.Tulane's diverse student population mimics the global business environment with students from various cultural, linguistic and business backgrounds coming together to learn both from our first-class faculty and each other.
The program's small size also provides students with the opportunity to work closely with our faculty and develop meaningful relationships with fellow students.
