Chemical and biochemical engineers apply principles of chemistry, biology, and physics to a wide range of fields including alternative energy, environmental solutions, healthcare, agriculture, food products, petroleum, and consumer goods.

At Rutgers students will learn how to design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data, and identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. They will learn how to function in multidisciplinary teams, understand professional and ethical responsibility, and recognize the importance of engaging in lifelong learning.
