These children and their families are served in their homes or other natural environments, in early childhood settings or in elementary school classrooms through Part C or B services. These children and their families are the recipients of early intervention and preschool services; thus, the program addresses families as key stakeholders in ECSE.

The ECSE M.Ed. is a 2 year program which includes:

  • Foundational coursework in ECSE;
  • Specialized coursework in instructional and family-based assessment and intervention;
  • Field experiences in early intervention classrooms, preschool public school classrooms, and consulting with parents and professionals;
  • Conducting an applied research thesis;
  • An option to enroll in course work and internships that prepare students to apply for BCBA certification
