• Performance groups have been invited all over the world, and the Wind Ensemble has produced commercial recordings. In addition to performing with our outstanding wind bands and orchestral and chamber groups, majors in Instrumental Music Education also participate in MTSU's prestigious Band of Blue marching band.
  • Instrumental Music Education majors primarily continue their music careers as band teachers and directors in public schools. MTSU alumni also are being accepted into major graduate schools of music including Indiana and Michigan. Some go into music—or music education—related fields such as instrument sales/repair or other businesses that assist music educators. Some future job possibilities include:
