Our program is built on a strong core of liberal arts and foundational broadcasting courses. Using this core as a starting point, students may then specialize in one of three options:

  • Public relations/advertising
  • News writing and editorial work
  • TV/radio production

Career OpportunitiesThere are more than 10,000 radio stations and 1,200 television stations in this country.?Continuing expansion of stations and cable television outlets should keep the door?open for increased job opportunities. Top positions in the field are highly competitive.?Competition in major metropolitan areas is also keen. Entry level positions are more?readily available in small cities and towns. Local stations and businesses work closely?with the MSU Broadcasting program when looking for job candidates.
