The Department also offers graduate certificates in International Technical Communication and Professional Writing and Communication.
Students interested in the English M.A./MLIS program are expected to follow all the requirements and standards as described in this section of the Bulletin with the following exceptions: the 21 credits required for the M.A. in English in the coordinated degree program are to be taken within the Department.
In cooperation with the School of Library and Information Science, the Department of English offers a M.A. /MLIS program to prepare students for positions as humanities librarians. Students enrolled in this program concurrently pursue a M.A. degree in English and a MLIS degree. Prerequisite to the award of either degree in this program is the simultaneous award of its counterpart degree.
