The Bachelor of Music option in Keyboard prepares students for a variety of professional activities in piano performance and piano pedagogy (entrance audition required). Capstone experience: one-hour recital. During their studies at CSUN, piano majors are given an opportunity to develop their skills in solo performance, as well as within chamber music and piano ensemble settings.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have graduated from high school, have earned a Certificate of General Education Development (GED), or have passed the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE).
Students must have a qualifiable minimum eligibility index.
Students must have completed, with grades of “C-” or better, each of the courses in the comprehensive pattern of college preparatory subject requirements also known as the “a–g” pattern.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale, or an average of "B" grades on an "A - F" letter grading scale.
Students must have met our English language requirements.
