• Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering at the University of California Los Angeles is a 4-year program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • Aerospace Engineering is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission and the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
  • The program uses many disciplines, including:
    • fluid mechanics and aerodynamics
    • structural mechanics
    • materials and aeroelasticity
    • dynamics, control, and guidance
    • propulsion, and energy conversion.
  • Students have to complete one capstone project in the last year.
  • Within these capstone courses, students are exposed to the conceptual and design phases for aircraft development and produce a structural design of a component, such as a lightweight aircraft wing.
  • The departments have 38 faculty members and 32 research labs and centers.
  • University of California Los Angeles ranks 2nd in 2020 for aerospace and defense research and development.
