Music Performance students at the will perform with various ensembles as well as benefit from private lessons with our renowned faculty throughout all years of study.

What You'll Study:

The Music Performance degree provides students with a solid foundation of music theory and history in addition to private lessons and experience performing with various ensembles. Music Performance majors will complete a solo recital in their senior year in order to graduate. Additionally, all majors in the School of Music must pass a piano proficiency exam in order to graduate.?The specific course requirements vary by the student's instrument.

Students will also complete 30 hours of UK Core. The College of Fine Arts additionally requires that all majors complete 6 hours of coursework outside their departments but within the College of Fine Arts and at least 39 hours of courses at or above the 300-level.?
