Many medical facilities are well below that number today.?The market bears the need for nurses with advanced training, and it?s likely that need will only increase going forward. Helping to meet this demand, Southeastern?s pre-licensure BSN program offers students with no prior professional nursing degree or license the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Prior to admission to the program, prospective students must complete a pre-nursing core that includes general education and foundational nursing courses taken in the freshman and sophomore years. Introduction to Nursing, a two-credit preparatory course completed during the second semester of the sophomore year, gives you the opportunity to learn about the nursing role prior to investing significant time in the program. Then, once accepted into the program, you will experience a blend of hands-on clinical training, which will take place in our new simulation laboratory as well as in a number of hospitals and community settings, and face-to-face interaction as part of a cohort of learners.
