The program may be completed under a thesis or non-thesis option. Candidates for the master's degree must meet the general requirements of the Graduate Council and those stipulated by the department.

The Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications offers the following concentrations:

  • Agricultural Leadership

Designed for those who want to develop their leadership skills and pursue careers in government, youth organizations, business/industry, international environments, and leadership positions within the community.

  • Agricultural Education

Designed to enhance the careers of those employed or interested in the educational professions of agriculture and the environment. Students will gain valuable knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs. Also, if needed, the concentration allows students to complete the requirements of teacher licensure in Tennessee.

  • Extension?Education

Designed for those interested in Extension careers.

  • Agricultural Communications

Designed for those pursuing communication careers in areas such as journalism, electronic media, marketing/management, and broadcasting.
