Careers

English Department graduates are employed in a wide range of careers: including teaching, journalism, and publishing, of course, but also public relations, banking, law, acting, and business management.

A major or minor in English enhances one’s academic program by strengthening writing and analytical skills and providing a valuable background in the ideas and values-both eternal and contemporary-that literature expresses and which society needs.
