Economic models are used to make predictions or forecasts. Economics majors are typically employed in the financial industry such as banks, insurance companies and money management firms, as well as government, (state, local and federal), non-financial corporations, international organizations, the Federal Reserve System, research organizations and regulatory agencies. West Virginia State University offers the BA in Economics degree course.
Students must choose one of the three areas of concentration reflecting their particular interests: Business Economics, International Economics, and Social Science Economics.
