The Dental Hygiene Program at The UTHealth School of Dentistry is part of the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. ?UTSD is the only Houston-area school offering a?Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. We also have a distance education degree-completion program for dental hygienists who want to turn their certificates into bachelor's degrees.

Because UTSD offers graduate and postgraduate programs in dentistry and the dental specialties, our dental hygiene students become accustomed to working side-by-side with other members of the dental team. ?
