The Cizik School of Nursing?Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner?track prepares graduates to manage adult patients with complex health deviations across the continuum of acute care services. The focus of the program is on practice in interdisciplinary collaborative models providing care for physiologically unstable, technologically dependent, vulnerable patients. The curriculum addresses common health problems encountered by adult acutely ill patients. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification examination offered by the ANCC or the AACN Certification Corporation.
