Writing majors learn the practical aspects of communicating on the job, in business or industry and in print and digital platforms, to prepare for careers in publishing, editing, writing, and technical communication. The Teaching option is offered in conjunction with the School of Education, and prepares students to teach English in the public school system. Students also may minor in English or Creative Writing as a Profession. An Online Certificate in Writing for Interactive Media is available.
