Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
Students must have passed a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate work.
An undergraduate professional degree in interior architecture or interior design is preferred.
Students without a professional UG degree in interior architecture or interior design but are graduates of related environmental design programs, such as architecture or industrial design, can be admitted but may be required to complete specific undergraduate prerequisite courses.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

There are two types of visas students need to plan:

F-1:

If students are requesting an I-20 for an F-1 visa they are required to submit evidence of the availability of funds for their expenses for the first year only, and also indicate the source(s) of funding for subsequent years.
Subsequent years’ funding is indicated by the use of a checkbox on the Rackham Affidavit of Financial Support.

J-1:

If students are requesting a DS-2019 for a J-1 visa they are required to submit evidence of the availability of funds for their expenses for the duration of their program.
Use the estimated expenses to calculate the total amount they need to certify and provide the required proof of funds. Over 50% of funding must come from sources other than personal funds.
