Stockton University's School of Education connects learners and educators to one another and to our communities.

Welcome to the Stockton University School of Education. Whether you are in high school or a current college student who is considering attending or transferring to Stockton or you are a current Stockton student or a graduate of another college, you will find a variety of programs that can be tailored to help you reach your goals in education. The links on this page are designed for students just beginning their journey towards initial certification. If you already have initial certification, please jump straight to our graduate program page for additional endorsements and degrees.

While all bachelor programs require a minimum of 128 credits and a 2.00 cumulative GPA, the NJ Department of Education requires a 3.0 cumulative GPA to be certified. Students in this concentration must complete a ENVL major with accompanying EDUC courses as shown. High school coursework in math and science is recommended including study of precalculus/calculus. To earn a certification in biological science and/or earth science, a student must complete 30 credits in biological/earth science with 12 at the upper level. A student should seek guidance on course choices to ensure they count towards certification(s). If a student drops from the EDUC concentration, additional coursework will be required for a BA in Environmental Studies. A grade of “C” or better is required in all content courses and a B- or better in professional education courses.
