The B.F.A. Sculpture degree is designed to give students a solid background in traditional methods and materials appropriate for three-dimensional expression, as it allows for experimentation within cross-disciplinary concerns. Courses are structured to introduce traditional processes that include modeling, moldmaking, foundry, and welding, as they offer opportunities for the exploration of papermaking, wood working, and many alternative media approaches. The proximity of the ceramic studios has offered many sculpture students an even more comprehensive three-dimensional experience.
