The Master of Education with a concentration in Art is designed for students who are interested in furthering their knowledge of art at the graduate level, without regard to employment as a teacher, as well as for those who wish to meet state or district requirements for advanced study by teachers.
Program Requirements
The program requires ten (10) courses, which include three (3) in education and seven (7) in art (studio art and art history). An oral comprehensive examination is required as the student’s culminating experience. A professional portfolio, completed as part of the degree program, is presented during comprehensive examination.
