In this program student will:

  • Benefit from small class sizes with personal attention from accomplished faculty who are industry leaders
  • Learn to analyze, design, and test digital computer systems, architectures, networks, and processes
  • Develop transdisciplinary skills and proficiency in subfields of computer engineering, such as hardware, software, and systems 
  • Gain exposure to a variety of industries and applications via partnerships with local businesses and business leaders
  • Work in the 11,000 square foot, state-of-the-art IDEA Lab, filled with engineering “toys” including microcontrollers, drones, sensors, 3D printers, and laser cutters 
  • Have access to the Advanced Vehicle Research Studio (AVRS), a one-of-kind teaching drone lab
  • Collaborate with other computer engineering students in local and statewide competitions
  • Expand your knowledge and have fun while participating in on-campus engineering events
  • Have access to facilities such as the engineering lab (IDEA Lab), motion capture/gaming lab, more than 10 computer classrooms, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and AR/VR Labs
  • Complete an internship with nearby affiliate companies or on campus in our computer support center or network operations center and IDEA Lab
  • Participate in SHU Innovate, a student engineering club
