The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at George Mason University is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to work in public health practice, research, and policy.
The program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), which ensures that the curriculum meets the highest standards of academic excellence.
The program covers a wide range of topics, including epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, health policy and management, and social and behavioral sciences.
Students will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships and capstone projects. The program consists of 45 credit hours of coursework, which can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have completed a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution.
Students required a 3.0 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate work.
Students are expected to have completed a degree in engineering, business, computer science, or information technology, with foundational competence in calculus, statistics, and computer programming.

Language Requirments:

Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.

Most students come to the United States on an F-1 visa, but students who are sponsored by the U.S. government, their home government, or another organization may be required to enter the United States on a J-1 Exchange Visitor's Visa. To be issued an immigration document (Form I-20 for F-1 status or Form DS2019 for J-1 status), students must prove they have sufficient financial support to cover their expenses while at Mason.
International students outside the United States may use their immigration documentation to schedule a visa interview with the U.S. embassy or consulate nearest their place of residence and apply for an F-1 or J-1 student visa.
