Students enrolled in the Accounting program offered by the Mercyhurst University must choose to pursue one of two tracks that will determine if they can practice in the private or public sectors. The first track (121 credits) will lead to the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam for those who wish to work in the private sector.?

The second track ? a double major in accounting and finance, which meets Pennsylvania?s minimum 150-credit hour requirement ? will lead graduates to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or the Certified Financial Planner exams for those interested in public accounting.
