When getting your degree in biology at Emporia State you can add concentrations in fisheries and wildlife biology, ecology, organismal biology, environmental biology, geospatial analysis, botany, microbial and cellular biology, physiology, and education.

  • Emporia State has several off-campus habitats available for study, as well as having access to the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge and Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.

If you want to teach, the secondary education program in The Teachers College works in partnership with the biology department so you will be well prepared in both biology content and teacher education.
