?The concentration addresses the increasingly interdisciplinary skill set required of modern scientists. Complete a minimum of 120 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better. The last 30 hours must be completed at NCCU. Complete the General Education Curriculum (GEC) requirements as listed in this catalog, including speech intensive and writing intensive course. Students much achieve a minimum grade of C in all courses listed as part of the Required Core (35-37 hours) as well as all courses used to satisfy requirements listed for the Geoscience Concentration (36 hours). Complete 3 credit hours of research or participate in a 3 credit-hour internship in a public or private sector agency or organization where opportunities are provided for observing and preforming a variety of geographic science functions under supervision of a professional. Freshman and sophomore years complete General Education Curriculum required by the University as detailed on the four-year course of study, except the following department prescribed general education courses.
