Students are required to pass a comprehensive examination and to complete 30 semester hours of graduate course work, at least 24 of which must be in philosophy. For students electing to write a thesis, the course work in philosophy will include 6 semester hours of PHIL 699, Thesis. All courses taken toward the completion of the degree are subject to the approval of the graduate adviser, and they must include the following, each of which must be completed with a grade of B or better:
