Middle Childhood teachers will be licensed to teach two of the following subject (content) areas: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. ?This full-time program of study requires a Monday through Friday commitment. ?Students from Wright State University's Bachelor of Education program in Middle Childhood Education and/or others with a bachelor's degree, who meet the two content area requirements and any other prerequisites of Wright State's educator preparation program may be admitted to this program.? This graduate program will begin as a cohort in the summer semester.
Candidates will serve as interns in school settings throughout an academic school year. ?Therefore, this program operates on a different calendar than the university, and candidates will be required to start prior to the beginning of the university's academic term. ?Additionally, the state of Ohio will require a criminal background check as a part of the licensure application.
