The B.S. degree is offered on the Dahlonega campus, but students may begin their studies on another UNG campus and complete the degree in Dahlonega.? Students wanting to obtain secondary education teacher certification in physics usually complete the B.S. degree in physics and then get certified through the?post-baccalaureate?or?Master of Arts in teaching?program in the College of Education.

The Department of Physics also offers a?dual degree program?which allows students to receive both a bachelor's degree in physics from UNG and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the?Georgia Institute of Technology,?Clemson University, or Mercer University. ?Students begin their studies at UNG and after completing a specified 90-credit-hour curriculum, transfer to the engineering college where they complete a degree in engineering.? When the engineering degree is completed, the students receive a second bachelor?s degree from UNG.
