In the program, students earn a PhD in Biochemistry after conducting original research in world-class laboratories. OSBP has about 100 preceptors to choose from in Arts & Sciences, Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, and Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
The Ohio State Biochemistry Program (OSBP) is an interdisciplinary graduate program that trains students to investigate the biochemical basis of life and disease. In the program, students earn a Ph.D. in Biochemistry after conducting original research in world-class laboratories. Major areas of research include Chemical Biology & Enzymology, Molecular Basis of Disease, Molecular Biology & Molecular Genetics, and Molecular Biophysics & Structural Biology. Many faculty focus on cross-cutting areas including Cancer, Cell Biology, DNA & Chromosomes, Gene Regulation, Protein Structure & Folding, and RNA.
