Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering is a very broad discipline, including analog and digital electronics, power electronics and power systems, computer control systems, mobile and wireless communications, microwaves, radar systems, antennas, digital signal and image processing, and more. Electrical engineers have created products and systems that are now considered essential to our daily lives, such as lighting, radio and stereo systems, telephones, televisions, DVD’s, cellular phones and computers.

Fenn College’s curriculum in Electrical Engineering prepares students for successful careers in the following areas: telecommunications, aerospace, computers, electrical power, semiconductors, robotics, the medical field, and consumer electronics industries. In addition to mathematics and science courses, electrical engineering students take courses such as multivariable calculus, physics, engineering ethics, differential equations, electro-mechanical energy conversion, communications, statistics and probability and more. Senior design projects are also offered.

Electrical Engineering is one of the top ten degrees in demand according to a 2005 National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Job Outlook Survey.
