The major prepares students for a wide variety of careers in applied criminal justice fields such as corrections, parole, or policing, the field of justice research and social service settings. Students who complete this concentration are well-prepared for graduate work in criminology, one of the social sciences, or law.

Internships: Criminology majors who have completed required courses and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 may enroll in the Criminology Internship course. Student interns have been placed in various agencies in the criminal justice system including police departments, juvenile court and correction facilities. Students are encouraged to explore career choices through internships. Some internship experiences have led to employment.
