Students who successfully complete this program will graduate licensed to teach in the State of Illinois with a Professional Educator License (PEL) in music for grades K-12. Recommendation for licensure entitlement requires successful completion of all program coursework and requirements, student teaching, and passing the Illinois Licensure Test of Academic Proficiency, Music Content Area Examination K-12, and the edTPA.
