• In the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematical Sciences programs, students' mathematics degree coursework will teach them fundamentals of pure and applied mathematics, preparing them for a career in mathematics, natural sciences, computer science, social sciences or business.
  • As a mathematics degree student, students will choose one of the following seven concentrations:
    • Actuarial Science
    • Applied and Computational Mathematics
    • Financial Mathematics
    • Pure Mathematics
    • Quantitative Analysis and Operations Research
    • Statistics
  • The Statistics concentration​ is designed to provide students with the necessary quantitative background for employment in business, industry, or government. It also provides a solid foundation for students interested in pursuing a PhD in statistics.
