Core courses provide a solid knowledge base upon which to launch specializations in urban transportation systems, urban building systems, or the monitoring and control of urban systems. Students can also add on a variety of electives ranging from legal considerations to construction issues to real estate fundamentals.

The Master of Engineering in ?requires a minimum of 30 credit hours. Students must take 18 credit hours from the list of core courses. In addition, students can choose one of the following specializations: (a) Urban Transport Systems (b) Urban Building Systems, or (c) Monitoring & Control of Urban Systems.?Students are required to take a minimum of four courses in their chosen specialization.?Students are not limited to these tracks; customized programs can be developed in consultation with the program directors.?The remaining credit hours are electives and may be selected from the remaining courses listed below. The selection of elective courses requires advisor approval from the home department.?
