The successful effort to reduce malaria worldwide, lower infant mortality rates due to SIDS, and create stricter environmental policies to reduce vehicle emissions are all Public Health efforts that occurred as a result of fostering partnerships with individuals, communities and organizations.

What will I study?

Disciplines of Public Health include health policy and management, epidemiology, family health, behavioral science and health education, health communication, occupational safety, environmental health, public health preparedness and international and global health.? Students will learn theories of health behavior, prepare policy briefs, design and evaluate health promotion programs, conduct environmental audits in the field, develop social marketing campaigns, and learn to assess public health issues through a system lens.
